I did A LOT of research trying to find the best wet/dry vacuum for my home and I must say I adore this vacuum and highly recommend it.For perspective: my home is all hardwoods and it’s pretty small at 1,233 sq ft. I have a 5 yr old, no pets, and we are a shoes-off household. For me this vacuum is perfect. I haven’t done the whole house in one go but I wanna say I’ve done half and the battery has served me quite well.I love the self cleaning mode. It gets the brush waaayyy cleaner than I could- and it gets pretty gross. My child makes huge messes at our kitchen table and it has cleaned up hardened tomato seeds, dried stuck playdough, oil pastel, watercolor stains, and ground up dried berries quite well. I especially appreciate the turbo mode for such spills. Occasionally I have to sit on a dried spill but the brush is continuously spinning like mad and usually the spot comes up clean. Now I use a solution of vinegar and water to clean and I’ve gotta say it keeps the vacuum clean along with the floors. Even if I’ve forgotten to change out the dirty water tank and dry the roller brush bar for weeks (it has happened) I can still easily clean out the solid waste trap, water tank, roller brush, and the entire head of the vacuum relatively easily and there is NEVER a lingering smell. I also feel the vinegar is safe enough on hardwoods because they are still quite shiny after a year. Any other solution I fear would leave residue, create smell, and ultimately encourage bacteria but this is just my take.I really appreciate that the dirty water tank is significantly larger than the clean one, limiting how many times you have to empty gross water. I also love that it traps solid waste in a separate location. It is very easy for me to take it apart, slap the solid waste compartment into the trash can and dump the dirty water into my sink. The ability to clean both the dirty water tank and waste trap is a BREEZE. Sometimes I hit it with a toothbrush but for the most part it just takes a good spray and it’s brand new with no gross smells. The 180 degree ability is what really sold me on this vacuum and it has NOT disappointed. I have been able to clean under beds, chairs, and furniture with ease. The light on the head of the vacuum really shows you the mess in the dark and how good it cleans. I also have to say it does hit the edges of walls quite well, both the sides of the vacuum and the head. I have been able to swivel around toilets and along baseboards with ease.I don’t have any complaints with this vacuum, I think it is well constructed, easy to clean, easy to maintain, worth the money and provides me with quick and efficient cleaning which when you have a small child, is quite often a necessity. I can’t imagine it quitting on me for many years but when it does I’ll just get another one. I have tried other wet vacs in other people’s homes and mine is the best, hands down, period. Hope this review helps! Happy wet/vac hunting!
