I bought this for my waxy ears but it turned out to be the perfect solve for my husbands itchy flaky ears. He uses it every day. I didn’t find it as useful for me. Excellent for itchy flaky. There is no suction to be seen on this product. Out the box it felt so light, which immediately worried me. I doubt there's much in it for the price it's being sold at. It comes with a few scooper heads which sit horribly in the tip to the point where it pushes backward if it comes into contact with something. Like I said earlier, I tried the vacuum button and nothing happened, no suction at all.Very disappointed if you're looking for good suction.I have recently started using an Otoscope to clean my ears. Pretty amazing what you can see with those devices. However, seeing the ear wax and removing the ear wax are two different things. It is not as easy as it looks to maneuver the scoop to collect it all, (especially dry ear wax). I decided that this vacuum with the rotating tip might be the answer. While it doesn't have the camera of an Otoscope, the rotating tip with vacuum should definitely provide cleaning. This device is smaller than I thought, (which is good, I was afraid it would be bulkier than it actually is). It comes with the main unit with a tip cover, three tips, a cleaning brush and a Micro USB charging cable, (power block not included), and small instruction pamphlet. It does not come with a case, so the sturdy box will have to be kept to hold all of the pieces. It can be operated in clockwise and counterclockwise rotation and 3 levels of suction power. While it includes an LED light, this would only be useful if you were using it on someone else. I used this and followed it up with the Otoscope to see how thorough a cleaning it is capable of.I found the silicone tip a bit hard for my liking as compared to the latex covered spoons on my other cleaners which are more gentle to the ear canal. It would have been really great to have had a camera as well so that you could control the cleaning better. As there is a collection area in the handle of the device which is removable to empty and clean the "collected" ear wax, I did see that "some" ear wax was collected. I think, as I use it more, I will be able to do a better job. It will take a little getting used to.Overall, I would say that this vacuum does a fairly good job. We've tried the irrigation wax removal systems and they work okay, but sometimes you feel like water is trapped in your ear and that's enough to make you not want to use them anymore. We saw this one had suction which sounded much better and might work. I will say the suction is super gentle, like I dont think it does anything gentle. There is a light, but you have to hold it just right to be able to see inside the ear canal with it. Also I don't know how you'd use this on yourself and be able to see what you were doing. You just kind of go in blind for self cleaning. I am a little sad that this product doesnt seem as strong as in the video where they are sucking things up with it, I tried to duplicate that and it got nothing. Also there is never anything in the little tray compartment after using for a few weeks.I am now using this on our son when he has visible earwax to scrape it out because it is pretty gentle and better than a qtip. It is very gentle at scraping out those little wax build ups.We loved this idea and the product does it's job as it should. That being said we encountered a major issue while using it. The little rubbery scoop did come off in my ear causing some immediate stress and panic. We were able to retrieve it but it was challenging and required assistance to retrieve it. Im kinda hesitant to use it now but considering supergluing the attachment to itself so it can't pop off again because the product is really cool. This review is for Ear Wax Vacuum, Ear Wax Removal Vacuum Ear Cleaner Rotatable.Nice alternative to others on the market. Love the size.I've seen a lot of these ear cleaners and always avoided them as many require you to download an app to use. I'm a bit of a tech guru, but unlike some, I don't want an app for every single little nuance of life. I was mostly interested in an ear cleaner to save on Q-tips.And to an extent, this cleaner does that. To an extent, which is why I won't give this five stars.First off, I don't have any unique circumstances regarding ear cleanliness such as excessive wax or the like. I do have other conditions, one of which is damage caused by parents and myself. To diverge on a tangent, I have lousy ear structure and health due to genetics and poor choices (turns out playing guitar amps cranked up is in fact literally deafening...). Family members inadvertently caused damage when I was a child by reaching too far into my ears to clean them, and I did the same a few times as an awkward, clumsy teenager. Between genetics and damage from loud audio and incorrect cleaning, I have poor hearing.Moral of my little story here: Listen to professionals when they say stay OUT of your ear canals. Only clean your ear openings. If there's something in the ear canal, go to a doctor or specialist. You're likely wondering why I'm rambling about this. Here's why: This cleaner's tip is extendable. Extendable enough to reach deeply into an ear canal. Don't do it. For that reason, my experience in using this cleaner is just in my ear openings. Maybe another reviewer can attest to this cleaner's efficacy in cleaning ear canals, but I'm not going to try it.With all of that out of the way, I'll resume elaboration of my statement about this cleaner's efficacy. In brief, yes, it gently scrapes a lot of wax from my ear openings. But not all of it. My ears are of course sensitive to things rubbing inside the openings, but this cleaner doesn't cause irritation. The vacuum is nigh useless. To elaborate further, again, this cleaner doesn't irritate the openings of my ears and I am grateful for that. For the occasional cleaning, this cleaner suffices. But for a good, thorough cleaning, this cleaner can't match a good old Q tip for me.As for the vacuum, I don't want to cause discomfort or disgust by discussing properties of my ear wax, so I'm just going to say that for my cleanings, this cleaner's vacuum has failed to draw anything from the cleaning tip. I usually grab a paper towel or napkin, make a cleaning pass with this cleaner, then gently wipe the cleaner tip off on the paper towel or napkin, then repeat. When I'm done, I remove this cleaner's tip and flush it with warm water. This easily and thoroughly cleans the tip and I know I could even use some rubbing alcohol if needed. Every time I've checked the vacuum catch basin in this cleaner, it's been completely clean. So this cleaner kind of fulfilled my desire: To not rely on Q tips for ear opening cleaning. With this cleaner, I don't have to rely on Q tips....as often. I still use a couple every once in a while for a more thorough cleaning. So based on my experience, if you must have a perfect clean every time, I don't know if this cleaner will work as you desire. But if like myself you'd like to stop buying Q tips, or at least not rely on them as much, this cleaner might be worth a try.
